The White Oak Road Battlefield is preserved within Petersburg National Battlefield. Visitors can walk along sections of the original roadbed, see reconstructed or surviving earthworks, and follow short trails that interpret troop movements across the rolling countryside. The landscape remains largely undeveloped, allowing visitors to experience the same wooded thickets and open clearings that shaped the fighting on March 31, 1865.

A two-thirds-of-a-mile walking trail marked with signs interpreting the 1865 battle begins at the intersection of White Oak Road (VA Route 613) with Clairborne Road (VA Route 631). Remains of the Confederate earthworks, and two well-preserved gun emplacements can be seen.
