Ware Bottom Church Battlefield

The original church, one of the oldest in Virginia, was destroyed after the battle. In 2009, 2 acres of this historic site was donated to the Richmond Battlefields Association by a local company.  Overwhelmed by development, a small parking area and interpretive wayside mark the site of the battle. At nearby Howlett Line Park and in the area, several gun positions and trenches are still visible and are marked with historic signs.
