New Market Battlefield

The Hall of Valor, a focal point of the New Market Battlefield State Historical Park, presents the entire Civil War through its exhibits. Each year on the anniversary of the battle, the Virginia Military Institute campus community participates in a ceremony commemorating the VMI Cadets who died in combat there. The battlefield is bisected by Interstate 81, some markers and monuments are on the east side of the highway.
